Although Pronutro is not everyone’s favourite bowl of “breakfast”, and some will say the taste is not unlike that of dusty cardboard. However, for those relegated to a high carbohydrate or bulking diet will be happy to know that a bowl of Pronutro is chock full of complex carbohydrates and will provide long-term energy and sustenance for peak muscle performance whilst lifting weights or performing intense activity, and can be made far more tasty by adding such things as Bulgarian low fat yoghurt or a teaspoon of honey. Have a look at the following nutritional values to get a better idea of the “Bokomo goodness” found in each bowl of Pronutro:

    Hi
You might like to tell your customers that ProNutro contains genetically modified maize and genetically modified soya. Bokomo are happy to praise their product on the front cover and even have the approval from the Heart Foundation on the cover. However there is no mention of it containing Genetically Modified ingredients on the front cover. Consumers deserve to know what they are eating and no matter if Bokomo state that their GMO has been thoroughly tested (they don’t
define ‘thoroughly’ - and they don’t show the data to prove it (which would at least make their defense scientifically valid, because NO-ONE truly knows what the effects will be of changing the natural characteristics of food.
People should at least be given the choice of whether they want to eat GMO food or not

  2. Savvy Says:

Thank you for sharing this Shirley, it’s very important to be given the facts and afforded the option to choose.

  3. aqwin Says:

you gotta be kidding me shirley. whats not genetically modified these days?

slandering these ingredients is a real harm to the maize growing population. so far there have been no harmful effects of GM products and while saying “NO-ONE knows” may be true its just apocalyptic prophesying.

Also, Just because Bokomo haven’t published the data to the public doesn’t mean there is something wrong or harmful in the data.

Meanwhile, GM products are helping many of the world’s poorer by acting as effective protection against disease and other plant afflictions that would have lead many too starvation.

PS: Maybe contrary to the mood of up above, I have been chowing down a bowl of delicious pro-nutro. I used to put sugar in when i was younger and we could buy some but now I eat it plain and find it absolutely delicious. :P
